At the bottom of the abyss

At the bottom of the abyss

I suddenly woke up this morning, 12 of March 2021, by automatic weapons from Bicentenaire neighborhood. I believed It was the continuation of the distressing battle between law enforcement agencies, so called gangsters and politicians chomping down on the majority while protecting their economic interests and allies. When the first images and videos spread on social media, memories and feelings of late police interventions in this neighborhood that ran through me quickly faded to give way to dread.

Despite everything, I could have moved on telling myself like many others there is a divine justice in this world if a young friend had not pushed me to look into my humanity by his comments, tears and indignation.

Proud of their victory, the executioners trampled and dehumanized the corpses of the police officers who have so often denied haitian citizens the right to claim a fairer society. In spite of everything, this tragedy awakened deep feelings of compassion towards these policemen who had a family and will remain forever human beings, fellow citizens, Haitians. And I wondered how Ayiti could have touched the bottom of inhumanity, this somalization of life? What can be done to permanently overturn this dehumanizing and destructive system? What sacrifices should we not make to achieve this?

Answers to these questions cannot be individual. They should be collective and the haitian society should question itself. The past decade has seen the emergence of greedy men and women who squander our meager resources to satisfy their greed. Those men and women are spread everywhere within our institutions. They develop various kind of knowledge, know-how and social interactions unworthy of the heirs of Anacaona, Toussaint Louverture and Jean Jacques Dessalines.

The country is going to collapse if we do not change course right away. The erosion of thought that characterizes politicians will eventually lead to total, massive and global exodus of the entire society. Most of haitians believe that the future is elsewhere. Too many dreams have been stolen. Too many wasted lives. Too many skills wasted. Once and for all we must stem the swelling bloodship in our country. We have to kick back unqualified and incompetent politicians who throw us down the sewers of indignity with great kicks in the ass. We must do it.

Ayiti has become the laughing stock of the world. Ayiti is a whore. Ayiti helplessly witnesses the collective killing of its sons fleeing the disaster foretold for ages. Ayiti helplessly witnesses the fleeing of those who have been kidnapped, raped and murdered by their fellow citizens with impunity everywhere in what remains of its territory. Ayiti is upside down. Ayiti is neither managed nor governed. The cry of Monferrier Dorval will continue to resound deep into the dead consciences of haitian so-called leaders. Their conscience as well as their body is defiled. Dirt is everywhere in them, in their house and around them. They are dirt.

When it comes to young gang leaders boasting in front of the dead bodies of the policemen because the wind of blind violence is blowing in their direction today, carrying away unfortunate police officers, their enemies for a while, they will surely cry tears of blood when the wind changes direction. We are living through the darkest hours of our recent history.

Corrupted politicians acting like leeches suck the blood of the entire people with the support of the so-called Haiti friendly countries. No planning. No will for change. No sense of responsibility. Their only desire is to show off dirty money collected from all kind of corruption. Isn't it time to wipe out all these people? This might be the price to free Haiti. Meanwhile the situation is getting worse. Our brothers are falling and will continue to fall under the bullets of gangsters. Young policemen will leave widows, parents and unhappy orphans. The gansters who are social results of social exploitation in Haiti will also leave anonymously leaving girlfriends, children, mothers and friends in sadness. Ultimately, Ayiti will still lose human resources. Yes, on both sides the evil is endless.
